The George Washington Hotel
Designed by noted 20th Century architect, William Lee Stoddert, The George Washington is a unique hotel among the drab white cookie-cutter hotels in the Washington Pennsylvania marketplace. Our individual guestrooms are the most elegant in the area. Our suites honor the famous guests who have stayed here over the past 85 plus years - The Beatles, Bob Hope, Presidents Kennedy and Truman, Al Capone, Marilyn Monroe, etc. All suites and guest rooms have flat screen TVs, wifi, irons, ironing boards, access to fitness center and much more. Our main dining room is surrounded by the largest example of noted American Artist Malcolm Purcell. The mural depicts life on the National Road from the late 1700s to the 1840s.
